So You Wanna Work On A Cruise Ship? #WorkAbroad
Trying to find a job on a cruise ship but don’t know how to get started? Love the idea of being paid to travel? It can be fun and exciting, not to mention that your wages are tax free! I’m an affiliate for Wandering Earl’s guide on How To Work On A Cruise Ship – complete eGuide.
You want to work on a cruise ship. But do you really need this guide? Actually no! But how much is your time worth?
After 6 months of research and talking to ex-cruise ship workers, I managed to find a job aboard cruise ships. With Earl’s ebook I would have done it much faster. I’ve been in contact with Earl for a while and he is the real deal. He even sent me a review copy of the book so I could read it before making an ethical decision on whether to promote his book or not.
This guide is not for: people who don’t want to work on ships, people already working on ships, people who can’t or won’t follow rules, Rastafarians, anyone formerly or currently affiliated with a terrorist organization, illiterate people, drug addicts, people addicted to WOW, racists, ridiculously tall people, dirty hippies and socially awkward people (unless you are applying for an IT job).
If you are any of the above, don’t waste any more of your time!
This guide is perfect for: people who want to work on ships, people who want to get paid to travel, people who don’t like travel but want to run away from their lives, alcoholics who are budget-conscious, people interested in smoking but can’t afford the high prices these days, rice-lovers and people who dress like they are still in the 90s.
These are the sections covered in the guide:
- Introduction to Ship Life
- Pre-application Preparation
- Application Instructions
- Visa, medical and other paperwork guidance
- Information on applying as a couple
- Job descriptions along with approximate salaries
- Contact details for the cruise lines and revenue partners
In my opinion, it’s excellent and very comprehensive. But wait, can’t afford to shell out a measly $25 to get paid to travel the world?

It’s your life. What are you waiting for??

Great that you’re promoting this, and I was very interested in the article, however, I take exception to the implication that socially awkward people should head into IT. There’s enough of a stigma already in the field, unfortunately, yet so many of those I work with are well rounded, outgoing people.
I get that maybe you were trying to imply that other roles require outgoing people as you have face-to-face contact, but my understanding is that IT onboard you are still working with other staff, and surely you’d still want outgoing social people for any role, and that’s not how it came across :/
Mark, I work in IT myself so it was a tongue-in-cheek remark :)
WOW Mark…..
